San Carlos Kitchen Redesign

This kitchen was originally a galley style – long, narrow and dark. The kitchen and a small bedroom next door were demolished and opened up to the light-filled family room. Now, this bright and airy remodeled kitchen opens up to a dining room on one side and a sitting room on the other. New windows give a view to the backyard, while a bar seating area divides the space so family and guests can talk to the cook. A coffee cupboard keeps the coffee maker and accessories out of view, while large drawers with outlets inside allow the homeowners to charge their cell phones and computers without cluttering up the countertops. A large pantry provides extra storage.
